Refunds & complaints
Getting your money back
Last updated 28 July 2026 · English version
The short version: ask, and we refund. We are one person selling a small subscription — arguing with you over a few Stars would cost us more than the refund.
1. The fastest route
Send /paysupport in @ChataHunterBot. That command exists specifically for payment problems and goes straight to the person who can fix it.
Prefer email? support@chatahunter.com. Either way, write in English, Polish, Ukrainian or Russian.
2. When you get a refund
Within 14 days, for any reason at all
You bought digital content as a consumer, so you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. You do not need a reason, you do not need to justify it, and we do not ask you to sign that right away. Tell us within 14 days of the purchase and you get the full amount back.
Any time, if it didn't work
If a paid feature was broken, missing, or not what the bot described, that is a conformity problem and not a matter of goodwill. You can require us to fix it, and if we don't fix it in a reasonable time you can demand a price reduction or withdraw and get your money back. These are statutory rights under Polish consumer law and they last far longer than 14 days.
If we suspend you, or shut down
If we suspend a paid account for breaking the rules, we still refund the part you hadn't used. If we shut the service down, we refund every unused paid period without being asked.
3. How the money comes back
Purchases are made in Telegram Stars, so refunds go back the same way — we issue the refund through Telegram and the Stars return to your Telegram balance. We never held your card or bank details, so there is nothing for us to refund to directly.
Telegram controls what happens after that, including whether Stars can be converted back to money and on what terms. That part is between you and Telegram, and it is worth knowing before you buy.
Timing: we issue refunds within 14 days of accepting the request, usually the same day we see it.
4. Making a complaint
A complaint doesn't have to be about money. If the bot behaved badly, if we handled your data poorly, or if we were simply unhelpful, we want to hear it.
To make it fast, include:
- Your Telegram @username, or the name on the account.
- What happened, and roughly when.
- For a payment: what you bought and the date.
- What you want us to do — refund, fix it, delete something, or just know about it.
We answer every complaint within 14 days, in writing, in the language you wrote in. That deadline is a legal one, not a target: if we miss it, Polish consumer law treats your complaint as accepted.
5. Cancelling
There is nothing to cancel. Nothing on Chata Hunter renews automatically — no card is stored, no subscription rolls over, no charge appears because you forgot to turn something off. A Pro month runs out and stops. If you want it again, you buy it again.
To stop using the service entirely, block the bot or erase your account yourself with /deletemydata — see the privacy policy for what deletion covers. ⚠️ Deleting your account also ends any paid Pro time immediately and does not trigger a refund; if you want your money back, ask for the refund first.
6. What we can't refund
We can refund what you paid us. We cannot recover money you paid to anyone else — a landlord, an agency, or a scammer. If a listing we sent you turned out to be a fraud, please tell us: we will remove it and try to protect the next person. But we cannot get your deposit back, and nobody honest will ask you for one before you have seen the flat.
7. If we can't agree
Please try us first — nearly everything is a misunderstanding we can settle in a day. If that fails, these routes are free to you and do not require a lawyer:
- Your municipal or district consumer ombudsman (powiatowy / miejski rzecznik konsumentów) — free advice and help from your local authority, wherever in Poland you live.
- The consumer helpline run under the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection — UOKiK publishes the current number and web-form.
- The permanent arbitration court at the Trade Inspection (Inspekcja Handlowa) — a registered out-of-court dispute body. We will take part if you go there.
- If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) helps with cross-border disputes in your own language and at no cost. This is usually the right door for someone who has moved to Poland recently.
- The ordinary courts, and as a consumer you keep the right to sue in the country you live in where the law allows it.
