Apps and bots for finding a flat in Poland: an honest comparison

Updated

New in Poland and not reading Polish yet? You will search in three places: Polish rental portals, open chat groups, and Telegram alert bots. This page compares them as of October 2026: language, alerts, the real monthly cost, and the price for you.

One tool here, Chata Hunter, is ours. For every other service we quote only what it says about itself, and link the page.

The portals

Searching the portals is free for tenants: owners and agencies pay to publish, and can pay to rank higher.

Otodom

Run by Grupa OLX. The website is in Polish; its iPhone app lists English among its languages. A free account (an email address and a password) lets you save a search and get email alerts: "instant", meaning no sooner than 5 minutes after a listing is published, or once a day. Instant alerts stop at 25 a day (Otodom terms).

OLX

A classifieds site, also Grupa OLX, in Polish. Its "Obserwuj wyszukiwanie" (follow this search) button saves a search, and OLX says it will tell you about new matching listings.

Gratka, Morizon, Domiporta, Nieruchomosci-online

All four websites are in Polish, and each offers free alerts. Morizon: press "Włącz powiadomienia" (turn on notifications) on a results page. Gratka, from the same company: its iPhone app notifies you about new offers and lists English, Ukrainian and Russian. Domiporta's "Powiadamiacz" emails you new listings. Nieruchomosci-online keeps notifications for saved searches.

The catch on every portal

Facebook groups and Telegram chats

Groups and chats for Ukrainian or Russian speakers are fast, free and in your language. They also protect you least: nobody checks who posts, and a "landlord" can ask for a BLIK payment (a Polish instant transfer) before any viewing. Read the scams checklist before you pay anyone from a group.

Alert bots and aggregators

An alert bot watches the portals and messages you about matching flats. None has listings of its own.

Chata Hunter

Our Telegram bot watches Poland's major rental portals around the clock and messages you within minutes of a matching listing. It removes duplicates and adds rent, czynsz administracyjny and estimated utilities into one real monthly figure you can filter on. Its AI chat speaks English, Ukrainian, Russian and Polish. Search, alerts and AI chat are free; a handful of extra tools are paid, and you see the price first. It does not check landlords: see the FAQ.

FON (Fresh Offer Notifier)

Two Telegram bots: one for your filters, one for alerts, in Ukrainian, Polish or English. Free plan: OLX and Otodom, 3 saved searches. Premium adds Gratka and more filters for 44.99 zł a month (35.99 zł the first month). It says alerts usually arrive within a minute; its site does not say whether they show the czynsz (fonbot.pl).

Aparty PL

A free Telegram bot watching OLX, Otodom, Gratka and Nieruchomosci-online, with duplicate filtering and price-drop alerts. Its website is in Russian, Polish and English. It does not promise delivery within a minute, has no filter to hide agencies, and asks you to check fees in the original listing (apartybot.pl).

Tools for agents

Services such as nbot gather listings from hundreds of portals, but sell to estate agents and investors; nbot asks people searching for themselves not to register (nbot.pl).

How to choose

You read Polish and have time. Use the portals: save a search on Otodom and OLX, and compare flats on rent plus czynsz.

You do not read Polish yet. Let an alert tool write to you in your language, and do the checks yourself: see the flat, check the owner, pay nothing before the viewing (scams guide).

You want someone else to search. Use an estate agency. Polish law sets neither the fee nor who pays it; the agency agreement does (Art. 179a–181 of the Real Estate Management Act), and it must be in writing or e-signed with a qualified signature, or it is void (Art. 180 ust. 3). Get the fee in writing first: see the agency fee guide.

Questions about apps and bots

Is there an English version of Otodom?

Its iPhone app lists English. The listings are written by owners and agents, though, so expect the text itself in Polish.

Do I need a Polish phone number to use the portals?

Not to search. An Otodom account needs only an email address and a password. Listings usually give a number you can call or text from abroad, or you can write through the portal.

Can a bot see listings before the portal shows them?

No. Alert bots, ours included, read the portals after a listing is published, so no bot shows a flat before the portal does. A bot changes how fast you hear, and in which language.
